What is that you might be asking? That's just a burst pipe in our basement bathroom. If we turn the water main back on, that thing is gushing like a fountain.
Thankfully, the basement half bathroom has been a hot mess since we moved in. Here's a picture I took during the home inspection:
This is a tiny bathroom. With a huge utility sink (that's not even properly attached to the wall and is resting on bricks), a full closet, and no toilet. The full closet (on the right hand side of the photo) may have also been a tad moldy, pre-leak.
We knew the bathroom would have to be gutted even before the leak showed up. But now it's moved up on the project list. Pretty much to the top of the list. The plan is to a) fix the leak, b) gut the room, and c) slowly refinish it as our budget allows.
The plumber comes tomorrow morning.
