pyrex acquisitions.

I might have a problem.  My name is Teela, and I'm a pyrex addict.

Okay, not really.  But I did go a little crazy the other weekend.  We decided to check out a flea market we've never been to before - It did NOT go well.  After the morning disappointment, we headed over to a bunch of local thrift/antique stores that always have some good finds.

Like I said, I went a little crazy.

To keep my hoarding collecting in check, I have a rule: Never spend more than $8 on a single piece.  This means that anything I find at thrift stores usually meet my criteria, but the bowls at the antique places are more hit or miss in terms of price.

And then Rich let me go wild and break my rule.

I grabbed two one and half quart casseroles.  I believe they were both promotional items.  I've never come across either, so I splurged.  The "golden rosette" casserole with the stand came in at $22.  The "midnight bloom" casserole was $38 but was 50% off.  I can stomach $19... at $38, I would have had to pass.    If I remember correctly, the yellow butterprint bowl also broke my rule.  But butterprint is my favorite!  And you never see it in yellow!

Aren't I great at justifying things to myself?  It's a gift.
